About the Coalition

We are a diverse group of individuals who work together to support, promote, and encourage breastfeeding and chest-feeding in our communities.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit community organization. We welcome anyone who is interested in supporting breastfeeding and chest-feeding, and our coalition includes lactation consultants, doulas, midwives, pelvic floor therapists, chiropractors, physicians, and more.

MISSION
The mission of CMOBC is to improve the health and wellbeing of our community by protecting, promoting, and supporting breastfeeding, chestfeeding and lactation through education, outreach, advocacy, and service.

VISION
The vision of CMOBC is that breastfeeding will be accepted as the norm for the infant’s two years of life, preferably longer. Everyone in the community will have equal access to professional and peer lactation support. Healthcare professionals will be knowledgeable about lactation and will promote and support breastfeeding.
